We are designers, sleep scientists, engineers, developers, data scientists. From 7 different countries, we speak a combined total of 26 languages. (If you include coding!) Together we work to improve people’s health by enabling personal light adjusted to their inner rhythms and daily routines.

Christina Friis Blach Petersen
Co-founder and CEO
Passionate about making healthy light available to everyone, Christina created LYS as a student at Imperial College. Now a member of the Imperial Court, she holds an MSc Innovation Design Engineering from Imperial College and an MA from the Royal College of Art. In 2018, Christina was the winner of MIT’s ’35 Innovators under 35′ award.
Hugo Starrsjo
Co-founder and COO
Hugo is an entrepreneur who believes technology enables access to healthier life choices. Before co-founding LYS, Hugo practised as a strategy consultant specialising in healthcare. He graduated from HEC Paris with an MSc in Management, and from Imperial College with an MEng in Biomedical Engineering. Hugo speaks English, Swedish and French.
